Understanding Peptide Units
Mass Units (mcg, mg, g)
These are weight-based measurements with fixed relationships: 1 g = 1,000 mg = 1,000,000 mcg. These conversions are universal and do not depend on the specific peptide.
International Units (IU)
IU is a measure of biological activity, not weight. The conversion between IU and mass units varies by peptide because each substance has a different potency per milligram. IU values are established through standardized biological assays.
1 g = 1,000 mg = 1,000,000 mcg
HGH: 1 mg = 3 IU
Insulin: 1 mg ≈ 27.5 IU
Note: Not all peptides have established IU conversions. When in doubt, refer to the manufacturer certificate of analysis for the specific IU potency of your product.

This calculator is provided as an educational tool for healthcare professionals. IU conversions are approximate and based on commonly referenced values. Actual IU potency may vary between manufacturers and product lots. Always verify with the manufacturer's certificate of analysis and follow manufacturer guidelines for specific peptides. Dosing should be determined by a qualified healthcare provider.
